A lifelong champion for girls, young women and youth who identify as female, Dr. Lawanda Ravoira has
dedicated her career to empowering vulnerable youth and uplifting their voices. With over 30 years of
experience, Dr. Ravoira is a nationally recognized expert, published author, and sought-after trainer.
A dynamic leader, Dr. Ravoira has been instrumental in shaping state and federal policies to better
support girls and young women. She has authored impactful legislation and provided expert testimony
at Congressional hearings.
Cassandra Vieten, PhD
Clinical Professor in the Department of Family Medicine's Centers for Integrative Health at the University of California, San Diego
Cassandra Vieten is Clinical Professor and Director of the Center for Mindfulness at the Centers for Integrative Health in the Department of Family Medicine at UC San Diego. She is also Director of Research at the Arthur C. Clarke Center for Human Imagination and Clinical Psychology Director at the Psychedelics and Health Research Initiative at UCSD. She is the Senior Advisor of the John W. Brick Mental Health Foundation where she served as Executive Director from 2019-2023, and a Senior Fellow at the Institute of Noetic Sciences, where she served as President from 2013-2019
Carol Wick, MS, LMFT, BS
President and Founder of

Carol has worked in the nonprofit field her entire professional life, including as an award-winning CEO and President of Sharity Global. She is an experienced strategic planning facilitator and a published author of five evidence-based studies on gender-based violence program effectiveness and community engagement. Carol has particular expertise in gender-based violence programming and advocacy. Carol then served for a decade as CEO of a 120-bed high-lethality domestic violence shelter.As a fundraiser, Carol has raised over $250M.
In 2016, Carol founded Sharity Global to deliver strategic planning, fundraising, facilitation, monitoring and evaluation, advocacy, policy, operational, and other consulting services. In 2023 she became a Georgetown University fellow in Girl-Centered Practice at the McCourt School of Public Policy.
Anne Miskey
Sharity Expert
Anne is a non-profit and philanthropy expert with extensive experience in homelessness policy and programming. From 2018 to 2024 she served as President and CEO of Union Station Homeless Services. This organization is the county lead agency for 32 cities in north east Los Angeles with a homeless count of over 5,000 individuals and families. In this capacity, Anne helped raise and manage a $38 million budget and a 300-strong staff. Under her leadership, seven interim housing sites were opened resulting in major reductions in street homelessness, five major encampments were mitigated, and housing retention success sat between 97 and 99 percent, one of the highest rates in the US.
